Nestled operates in two modes:

A. Free Users (Local-Only Mode)

Stored locally on your device only — never sent to us:

• Daily reflections

• Mood entries

• Prompt responses

• Journey progress

• Theme preferences

• Streak progress

• App settings

B. PRO Users (Cloud Sync Mode via Supabase)

Synced securely to the cloud after you create an account:

• Email address

• Encrypted authentication token

• User profile (PRO status)

• Reflections and mood history

• Journey progress

• Theme preferences

C. Automatically Collected (All Users)

Used only for app functionality and analytics:

• App activity (feature usage, screens viewed)

• Crash logs and performance data

• Device type and OS version

No biometric, health data, contacts, photos, or precise location are collected.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data for:

• Core app functionality (saving your reflections, moods, progress)

• Syncing across devices for PRO users

• Account creation and authentication

• Improving app experience (analytics)

• Customer support and user inquiries

We do not use your reflections or mood entries for advertising or profiling.

3. AI Use Disclosure

Nestled uses AI only to generate journal prompts and guided reflections.

We do NOT send your personal data, reflections, or mood entries to any AI model.
All user-generated content stays on your device or Supabase (for PRO users).

4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

For users in the EU, our processing is based on:

• Performance of a contract — app functionality

• Consent — email address, analytics, marketing

• Legitimate interest — improving app performance

You may withdraw consent at any time.

5. How Your Data Is Stored

Free Users

All data is stored locally on your device.
If the app is deleted → All data is deleted.

PRO Users

Data is stored securely using Supabase, which uses:

• AES-256 encryption at rest

• TLS/SSL encrypted transfer

• Row-Level Security (RLS) to protect user data

Supabase servers are located in regions compliant with GDPR.

6. Data Sharing

We never sell or share your personal data.

We only share what is necessary to operate the app:

Service Providers

• Supabase — cloud storage, authentication

• Crashlytics or equivalent — performance + crash analytics

These partners follow strict privacy and security standards.

7. Data Retention

• Free users: data is stored only on-device and removed when the app is deleted.

• PRO users: data is retained until your account is deleted or inactive for 24 months.

• Backups may exist for 30 days for disaster recovery.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may:

• Access your data

• Correct inaccurate data

• Request deletion

• Export your data

• Withdraw consent

• Object to processing

9. Data Deletion Request

You can delete your data by:

Free Users

Delete the app → All local data is erased.

PRO Users

Email hi@nestled.be and request:

• Account deletion

• Full data deletion

We will permanently delete all cloud data within 7 days.

10. Children’s Privacy

Nestled is not intended for children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect data from children.

If we learn that a child under 13 has created an account, we will delete it immediately.

11. International Transfers

Your data may be processed outside your home country.
We ensure compliance with:
